URGENT - EOS REGISTATION DEADLINE JUNE 1st

With the June 1st, 2018 hard deadline for EOS registration fast approaching, it is very important that ERC20 EOS tokens held in Exodus are registered before this date.

Please refer to this guide for how to register your EOS in Exodus with one simple click.

Per the official eos.io FAQ, ERC20 EOS "will become fixed (non-transferable) on the Ethereum blockchain within 23 hours after the end of the final EOS Token distribution period which will occur on June 1, 2018," which means your tokens must be registered in advance of June 1st or they risk being frozen before their registration and loss of funds.

December 7th, 2017 @ 8:32 PM PST The Bitcoin network is extremely congested (over 200k unconfirmed transactions compared to the usual 20-40k). Incoming transactions might need 24-48 hours to arrive, and outgoing transaction fees are higher than usual. We don't expect the network congestion to get better in the next 48 hours. December 5th, 2017 @ 2:25 PM PST There is a widespread delay for a few Ethereum-based (ERC20) tokens. Because we do not want users to be without funds in these fast-moving markets we have temporary suspended exchanging the slow moving assets. We have noticed customers exchanging these assets experiencing delays for 24 - 48 hours. Each of these asset delays are described in detail below.

These network delays impact a number of Ethereum-based tokens ( ERC20 - Aragon, Augur, BAT, Civic, District0x, EOS, FunFair, Gnosis, Golem and OmiseGo). Our entire team will continue to monitor the exchange network and will resume all normal operations once the current backlog normalizes.

December 5th, 2017 @ 9:51 PM PST We noticed a few Exodus customers have EOS exchanges delayed by up to 24 hours. Because we do not want users to be without funds in these fast-moving markets we have temporary suspended all exchanges involving EOS. We are monitoring the system network and will resume all normal exchange once current EOS exchanges complete.

If you recently did an exchange with EOS your exchange will complete, however please be patient as it is taking much longer than normal this evening for the transactions to post.

December 6th, 2017 @ 2:00 AM PST The DASH API server is offline, so we have difficulties displaying incoming and outgoing transactions. Refreshing the DASH wallet does not work either. Funds are safe and transactions are executed, but the API issues prevent us to display them correctly.

December 4th, 2017 @ 11:51 PM PST Due to the recent Ethereum network delays we have temporary suspended Ethereum exchanges. We noticed a few Exodus customers had Ethereum exchanges considerably delayed. We are monitoring the network and will likely resume all normal operations in 8 hours.

December 4th, 2017 @ 10:57 PM PST Due to a massive increase in demand, the Ethereum network recently reached an all time high in network usage. This spike in usage has caused the equivalent of a network traffic jam creating considerable delays for many Ethereum transactions. This traffic spike is causing delays across the entire Ethereum network and impacts sending, receiving and exchanging Ethereum and Ethereum-based tokens.

This also includes all Exodus assets (ERC-20 or Ethereum-based tokens) that run on the Ethereum network. These assets include Aragon, Augur, BAT, Civic, District0x, EOS, FunFair, Gnosis, Golem, OmiseGo and Salt.

If you are waiting on an Ethereum or Ethereum-Based token please be aware waiting times are increased and it can take up to 24 hours.

December 4th, 2017 @ 1:32 PM PST All sending, receiving and exchanging of Bitcoin Cash is operational again. All systems are now back to 100%. We will be actively monitoring the Bitcoin Cash network for the next few hours and will turn off this notification once all systems remain stable.

December 3, 2017 @ 9:15 AM PST The Bitcoin Cash Blockdozer server is currently having some problems, as a result any attempt to refresh or to send BCH will show an error message indicating Rescan Error Unexpected token < in JSON at position 0. December 1, 2017 @ 2:15 PM PST A new fix is now ready for sending and exchanging Ethereum Classic. If you had problems sending or exchanging Ethereum Classic please upgrade to Exodus version 1.39.5.

December 1, 2017 @ 1:10 PM Pacific Time: We are receiving reports a few users are having problems sending Ethereum Classic. Our development team has all hands on deck and we are actively working on a fix. This only impacts sending of Ethereum Classic. This does not impact receiving Ethereum Classic or any other assets inside Exodus. All assets are safe. Once the fix is in place we will update the community immediately on this status page.

November 18th, 2017 @ 11:36 PM Pacific Time: Our Litecoin servers https://insight.litecore.io/are back up and operational. All Litecoin transactions and exchanges are working. We will be actively monitoring the Litecoin network for the next few hours and will turn off this alert once we are sure all systems are stable.

November 18th, 2017 @ 9:07 PM Pacific Time: Our Litecoin servers https://insight.litecore.io/are having issues receiving / sending transactions and blocks. This affects sending and receiving of Litecoin. Litecoin has also been disabled for exchange. We have contacted the Litecoin foundation to fix the issue.

November 16th, 2017 @ 5:42 AM Pacific Time: Please make sure you NEVER give your 12-words recovery seed to ANY website.

We've recently had an incident where assets got stolen after a user gave his 12-words recovery seed to a site claiming to "check the Bitcoin Gold balance". While this particular site is not online anymore, these type of scams are prevalent. Whoever has access to your recovery seed has access to all your funds.

November 13th, 2017 @ 3:06 PM Pacific Time: All asset trading pairs including Bitcoin are back online. Please be aware, Bitcoin is working and operational however Bitcoin fees remain very high. These fees are paid directly to the Bitcoin network to process your transaction. Exodus does not keep ANY of the network fees.

We’ve temporarily disabled the Bitcoin trading pairs on the Exchange tab until the network is back to normal. We see the pressure easing a bit, but unfortunately exchanges are still very expensive and unreliable.

November 12th, 2017 @ 12:55 PM Pacific Time: With the recent run of Bitcoin cash and the highest Bitcoin fees we have ever seen, our team continues to notice Bitcoin transactions and exchanges taking much longer than expected to complete. Currently we are seeing Bitcoin transactions, including Bitcoin exchanges, take over 72 hours to settle. For reference, in the past, we see most Bitcoin transactions complete in under 60 minutes.

In these fast-moving markets, because we do not want users to have exchanges stuck in limbo for 3+ days we have temporary suspended all exchanges involving Bitcoin (BTC) using the built-in Exodus exchange. Because Exodus allows users to control their own wealth, Exodus users can quickly send Bitcoin to external exchanges, export private keys or leave Exodus completely and move to other wallets.

For clarity, this only impacts Bitcoin transactions. This does not impact Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Ethereum Classic, Litecoin or any other Exodus assets.

Our entire team is actively monitoring the situation. Exodus will also be paying extra to mining networks on any transactions that are stuck or slow for our customers. We will activate Bitcoin exchanges when delivery times are back to under 1 hour.

After upgrading please refresh your Bitcoin wallet to correct any balance display issues.

As of November 8th, 2017 @ 9:46 PM Pacific Time - Our team has reproduced the cause of a few Bitcoin wallets displaying incorrect Bitcoin data after a rescan. We are actively working on a fix now. All funds remain safe. This is just a display error from the correct data not returning from the Bitcoin balance server.

This does not impact Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash or any other assets. We will continue to update this status page as we move towards a complete fix.

Our development team remains mobilized and is actively working thought the night on getting balances to display correctly in the wallet after a rescan.

As of November 8th, 2017 @ 2:53 PM Pacific Time - We have received a few reports of Bitcoin balances not being displayed properly after a rescan. We have identified the issue, that started about one hour ago, with the insight server not returning proper balances. All funds are safe. This is just a display error with the correct data not returning from the Bitcoin balance server. To be clear, you would only see this balance display issue if you recently rescanned your Bitcoin wallet. This does not impact Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash or any other assets.

Our entire team is mobilized and working on getting balances to display correctly in the wallet after a rescan.

We have been monitoring the Bitcoin Cash network and tonight BCH blocks are v-e-r-y slow to confirm. Because the network is going so slow we have seen exchange times finishing between 6 - 12 hours. All exchange will finish, they are just taking MUCH longer than expected.

This delay will NOT impact users exchanging any asset and receiving Bitcoin Cash. This delay is ONLY impacting users sending in Bitcoin Cash and receiving any other asset.

You can monitor the up-to-date status, to see if a block has recently confirmed after your exchange, at https://www.blocktrail.com/BCC. This page will show you the Bitcoin Cash network and the latest times a block has been confirmed. If you have sent in Bitcoin Cash for an exchange, in order for your exchange to finish, a block must have recently been confirmed after your exchange.

As of October 26th, 2017 @ 6:36 AM Pacific Time - We have temporarily disabled BTC exchanges. This does not impact sending and receiving of Bitcoin. We found, in the past few hours, our exchange partner ShapeShift was having trouble delivering BTC assets in a timely manner. Exodus is actively monitoring this situation to make sure all exchanges are completed quickly and all customers receive 100% of all exchanged funds. We will reenable BTC exchanges once we determine all Bitcoin on the exchange is being delivered promptly. Typically, in the past, this has taken a few hours to be investigated, tested and deployed. THE ACTIVATED FIX: As of September 11, 2017 @ 2:20 AM Pacific Time - Qtum and EOS are available for exchange. You may now exchange to and from Qtum and EOS using any asset. Sending and receiving all assets remains fully operational.

REMAINING ISSUES: OmiseGo is still undergoing exchange testing. We expect exchanges to resume in 24 hours or less.

OUR CURRENT ACTION: OmiseGo exchange testing is ongoing to assure all OmiseGo exchanges are executed quickly and delivered properly. If all reliability tests pass OmiseGo will available for exchange Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017.

As of August 16th, 2017 @ 9:28 AM Pacific Time - Our Ethereum servers are under heavy load. All assets are safe. However, this may affect sending and receiving of Ethereum and Etherum assets like Augur, Golem, EOS, Gnosis, and Aragon. If Exodus does not work after a few tries, and you need to send any of these assets immediately, you can use MyEtherWallet as a workaround as detailed here.

As of August 1st, 2017 @ 10:45 PM Pacific Time - We have decreased the status notification from red to blue. You can safely send / receive/ and exchange bitcoin now. We are still working on an easy way for Exodus customers to send their BCH out of Exodus.

As of August 1st, 2017 @ 1:00 PM Pacific Time - The Bitcoin hard fork has completed successfully. Within the next 24-48 hours, we will provide guidance on what customers need to do to claim their BCH/BCC.

As of July 31, 2017 @ 5:20 PM Pacific Time - There is a planned Bitcoin hard fork. During the time of Tuesday, August 1st from 12:20 AM GMT (Monday, July 31st 5:20 PM Pacific GMT-7) you should not send bitcoin until this is resolved.

Exchanging will be disabled completely. Please read ShapeShift's blog post on the hard fork.

As of July 27, 2017 @ 11:07 AM Pacific Time - The Dash API server has been down. The Dash team is working on restoring access. In the meantime, this means that sending / receiving / exchanging Dash may have issues.

As of July 27, 2017 @ 2:45 PM Pacific Time - Etherscan.io (https://etherscan.io) has been having reliability issues. Sending or receiving ETH and Ethereum tokens should not be affected.

As of July 14, 2017 @ 8:41 AM Pacific Time - pricing seems to be stabilized. We are actively monitoring for the next few hours and will turn off this alert once we are sure all systems are stable.

THE ISSUE YOU MAY SEE: As of July 14, 2017 @ 3:12 AM Pacific Time - We received a few user reports with the local currency values ( USD, EUR, GBP and CAD ) not displaying correctly in the wallet, portfolio and overall balance section in the navigation bar. You may also see a message on the portfolio to "Please check your internet connection." Your internet connection is likely fine.

All assets are safe - this seems to be a temporary display issue with the pricing feed data.

OUR CURRENT ACTION: Our team is aware of the issue and we are looking into a fix now. If you do not see pricing data in Exodus, Quit and relaunch again in about an hour - hopefully we have a fix soon.
