These are 100% remote careers - work from anywhere in the world.
Ready to take your place building the future of digital assets? Are you passionate about the blockchain and the sweeping changes it is creating across the world? Do you store some of your wealth in digital assets? Do you believe that Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other blockchain assets are beginning to facilitate a great wealth transfer?
The Financial Crisis of 2008 changed everything. Wealth around the world was decimated. The US government stole money from Main St. to give to Wall St. Governments have not stopped their reckless spending at the expense of its citizens. Central banks keep printing money, eroding purchasing power. The war on cash has just begun.
We believe these actions are causing consumers, businesses, and investment firms to seek a new asset class to invest and protect their wealth. The emergence of blockchain technology has created a movement to shift power back to the people to manage their own assets, with no banks, no brokers, or institutional oversight. We created Exodus for these visionaries, those who want to depart the legacy financial system to protect and create wealth for future generations.
Exodus was started by Daniel Castagnoli and JP Richardson. Daniel has co-founded a number of other companies and is a master of emotional design - having previously designed experiences for Apple, BMW, Disney, Louis Vuitton, and Nike. JP has also co-founded a number of other companies and has published 150+ open source libraries - some of these are in use by most Bitcoin and cryptocurrency software on the web.
The Exodus Chief Communication Officer works directly with the senior leadership team to fuse creative design, marketing and public relations to organize, create and deliver messages and consistent brand messaging across all channels.
As the Exodus Chief Communication Officer you will be responsible for all aspects of messaging and communication throughout the organization. You are the lens to the organization and will keep a daily pulse of Exodus events and development efforts to package this information in the most transparent way possible to deliver to the public.
In addition to the above the Chief Communication Officer is in charge of leading education efforts on behalf of Exodus. As more new users enter the digital asset space Exodus believes education is the #1 driving force of customer loyalty, trust and adoption.

Major areas of responsibility include social media, digital/email marketing, reputation and issue management, investor relations, crisis communications, content production and management, graphic design, and project and budget management.
To bring you up to speed in the company, and to ensure you are a good fit, your first three months as Chief Communication Officer will be as a contractor at a reduced salary. This trial period will also begin with a role in customer support. This head-first immersion will connect you to the lifeblood of the company - our customers. Exodus believes all positions, even senior level roles, need to understand day-in-day-out reasons why customers interact with us. These choices, and your time spent on the front line, will give you the tools and understanding of what is important to Exodus and our customers. If you believe you are above answering customer support tickets and only want to sit in a high-level, management position that does not interact with customers do not waste our time to apply for this position.
Exodus pays all salaries in Bitcoin. This is an upper-end, high-level position. Exodus has no salary caps for this senior-level role and will pay significantly above market value for the right fit.

Exodus is a desktop app built using Electron with a backend component written in Node.js. If you've never worked with Electron before, you can think of it like the marriage of Chrome + Node.js. You get all of the power of Node.js and all of the power of Chrome in one package. We think Electron is game changing for those who want to build cross-platform apps.
Working on Exodus is not all roses and lollipops though. Some weeks are grueling and require nothing but bug fixes. This can require firing up Exodus 100's of times in a day to track down a bug.
We also believe that in this ecosystem, the only way to truly build a successful product is to build trust with customers. This will require you to have some availability for customer service via Slack and email support. This shouldn't scare you, as it's an opportunity to learn what's wrong with the product.
20% of your time will be spent stepping outside of code and responding to inbound customer emails and customers in our live Slack channel. At Exodus it is vital everyone in the company understand customer problems and the pulse of the user community. We find these decisions and time spent dealing with customers puts everyone on the front lines and impacts all areas of design and decision in the organization.
We move all candidates to the top of the list if they have experience and understand the following; Electron, React.js, Bitcoin Scripts, Ethereum Smart Contracts.
If you provide massive value the sky is the limit…
